Abstract
The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the labour market and employment policy in selected EU countries, namely Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Finland and Sweden, and then compare the employment policy in individual selected countries in relation to Stategy Europe 2020. Base on the findings may formulate recommendations for the Czech labour market. The work is divided into four main chapters. In the first part, attention will be paid to the employment policy as a tool to address imbalances and disadvantaged groups in the labour market. Further are listed also views of the role of employment in the economy. Then the thesis deals with the passive employment policy. Subsequently was mentioned the concept and definition of active employment policy and its effects. The second part examines the development of EU employment policy. After that the work is focused on the European Employment Strategy, the Lisbon Strategy and Strategy Europe 2020. After that the chapter deals with the European Social Fund, the concept of flexibility and flexicurity and the European social models. In the third part will be analyzed in the countries on the basis of the National Reform Programme for 2015. After that is followed by a comparison of five countries, namely Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Finland and Sweden, to achieve their objectives in the context of Strategy Europe 2020. And subsequently evaluated in the context of achieving the objectives of the Strategy Europe 2020 base on the European semester 2016 in individual countries. The fourth part deals with proposals and recommendations for the Czech labour market and employment policy.
