Abstract
The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to create a project documentation of the St. Maxmilian Chapel, situated in village called Svatý Jan pod Skalou. This project documentation will be used for the reconstruction of the chapel. The chapel was surveyed by laser scanning method.
In this thesis there are included a data about the site and also a description of the St. Maxmilian Chapel. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on principles, functioning and practical operations of laser. Following chapter is concerned on description of laser scanning method. In this chapter there is clearly depicted information necessary for using of scanners, accompanied by illustrations for better understanding. The thesis includes also a short list of major Czech companies, which are providing laser scanning activities as well as the list of commonly used types of scanner. Finally there is also information about particular scanner used for measuring and also about total station.
In the beginning of the practical part there are described the professional fieldwork activities followed by the description of administrative activities.
The final part of the thesis is dedicated to summing of achieved results.
The output of the measuring and calculating are drawings of ground plan, cuts and views of the examined object. A 3D model and the short movie of flight past the chapel is also part of this thesis (on attached CD).
