Abstract

Today, the market situation is much more complicated than it used to be. The market mechanism leads to the coordination of people, activities and businesses through their interactions in the market and solve the basic problems of the economy. What to produce, how to produce and for whom to produce, which determines the match between supply and demand in the market. The present world is a place of hard competition, where the common factor is the customer. A satisfied customer contributes to business success, while the dissatisfied customer to failure. Each company linked assets and liabilities. One of the tasks on them with each of these items handled so that it had a positive impact on overall business growth. One item of assets, specifically inventory is devoted to this thesis. The task of inventory management is keeping them at a level that enables high-quality fulfillment of their functions. This is achieved by using an optimization approach to inventory that is based on mathematical-statistical theory of inventory. Stocks such as bind together the capital that the company can invest in other activities. Therefore, the enterprise inventory management should pay considerable attention. Aim of this work is in the company AFEED CZ, as hence the branch Kroměříž analyze the development, structure and adequacy of reserves, and then to map out possible solutions to the identified problems. The first chapter is given the objective of the thesis. The second chapter is devoted to the theoretical starting points in stocks, which are then reflected in the practical part. It includes and explains topics such as basic concepts, inventory management, ordering, inventory system, inventory optimization, inventory valuation and inventory analysis. In the third chapter appears characteristic of the enterprise as a whole and branches Kroměříž, which will be the focus of the practice. In particular, we describe a system of inventory management at the branch towns. The fourth chapter will include an analysis of developments in the structure and adequacy of reserves branches Kroměříž, where we calculate the turnover time and inventory turnover for Kroměříž a branch in a comparison and for society as a whole. Finally, we analyze the ABC, which we designate groups that are very important for the company, and which less. The most important group to focus and perform further analysis ABC analysis and speed the movement of inventory. Everything, then, illustrate using Pareto diagram. The fifth chapter is to suggest guidelines resolving any problems identified. This is followed by a conclusion, the sixth chapter, where we summarize the results across the thesis.
