Abstract

The subject of the diploma thesis is a theoretical description of the role of BIM coordinator and practical activities from practice. The role of “BIM coordinator” is part of information management during the delivery phase of the project information model. The work analyzes the role of coordinator in a construction project in the position of supplier of project documentation, classifies and describes activities that he performs. The diploma thesis presents real tasks that come from experience from practice. Special attention is focused to managing processes when creating a digital model of a building. The theoretical part is based on a search of publications and internet sources focused on information modeling. Practical activities and applied methods of project management are shown on a case study. The source of information for processing the case study is a project passport for an existing area of a pumping station for technological water and a design for reconstruction of technological equipment.
