Abstract

This bachelor thesis aims to create an information system suitable for a translation bureau. It covers complete proces of development ranging from specification and project design to implementation, testing and commission. The system will record customers, employees, interpreters and orders filed through the system. Main purpose of the thesis is to assess practical potential of such information system. Due to comprehensive nature of the topic, it focuses on a specific part of this process: creation of order and tracking during its life cycle. The paper is divided into 4 parts. The first one provides introduction into matters of translation, next one covers analysis of a particular information system, third part its implementation and the last one testing.
