Skládkování versus spalování směsného komunálního odpadu

Abstract

This thesis deals with description and comparison of two selected basic methods of disposal of mixed municipal waste, landfill and incineration. In the first part are explained the main terms and principles of waste management. The following part deals with analysis of the current state of the industry in the Czech Republic and also compared with the current situation in Europe. Another part is more specifically focused on evaluating the effects of selected aspects of the waste on the environment with regard to their economic aspects. The last section contains the overall evaluation and mutual comparison of both methods with regard to individual contemplated aspects, and suggestions of possible solutions to issues of waste management.
