Abstract
The aim of this diploma thesis is to give the complete image of the impact efficiency of the selected European union funds on employment in the Euro Area countries during 2007–2013 programming period. The hypothesis of the diploma thesis is based on the fact that the greater allocation from European Union funds comes along with the greater output (put in followed indicators) and country effectively uses its inputs to output creation. The hypothesis is based on the assumption that the less developed counties (according the level of gross domestic product per capita and gross national income per capita) have greater nominal allocation from European Union funds and greater nominal values of followed output indicators.
The diploma thesis is divided in three main chapters. The first chapter is focused on the theoretical concept of cohesion policy in the labour market and employment sphere on the European Union level. The second chapter applies on the methodical base of the efficiency evaluation. The third chapter practically evaluates the impact efficiency of the selected European Union funds in job creation sphere in 2007–2013 programming period. The diploma thesis concludes with the appraisal of the efficient outputs and recommendations for policy creators.
