Abstract
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design new regulations the determination of safe dimensions glazing in fire-resistant building structures. First, it provides an overview of the properties of glass, in relation to its safety requirements. The first part is a list of legislation, both European and Czech relating to glass construction. Furthermore, a breakdown of the laminated glass, tempered glass and wired with regard to the specific safety requirements. The second part presents the selected features glass structures and the possibility of setting these properties, which are highly specific and not so common, such as capacity glazed structures or acoustic insulation. Further in the impact assessment of the type and method of glazing on the fire resistance of building elements with regard to the dimensions of the test compared to laminated glass and gel.
