Experimentální studium nastavení základních parametrů SEMS při plynulém odlévání sochorů

Abstract

The aim of the thesis is experimental setting of the strand type electromagnetic stirrer (S-EMS) for continuous casting of billets. The first part includes description of both electromagnetic stirring principle and possibilities of the stirring implementation for continuous casting of steel. Summary of the most recent literary works regarding EMS is included as well. The major part of the paper is devoted to the setting of basic parameters of the strand stirrer for high carbon billets. The setting was carried out by experimental measurements on the new and old S-EMS types. Summary of obtained results is presented at the end of the thesis.
