Abstract

These diploma thesis is focused on the specification of security measures and prevention options in the school environment. The work deals with various aspects of security, includes spatial, organizational technical, personnel and legislative measures. The goal is to identify and design optimal security measures and procedures that will lead to the creation of a safe environment in schools. In the course of the work, the foundations for achieving a safe school environment are analysed and examined the legislative context regarding safety in schools. Furthermore, the work deals with the occurrence of socially pathological phenomena and violence in schools, and analyzes their causes and connections. As part of the current prevention options, procedures are proposed that have the potential to reduce the incidence of violence in schools. Part of the work are case studies that serve to illustrate and verify the proposed security measures. Quantitative methods are used to inform pupils about the causes of violence in schools and to assess proposed prevention procedures. Overall, this work can be characterized as comprehensive safety aspects in schools with an emphasis on the identification and implementation of optimal measures to achieve a safe and supportive educational environment.
