Abstract

VLADIK, Radek. Risk mapping in the Conditions of Olomouc Region. [Master Thesis]. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University Ostrava, Faculty of safety engineering, 2022. 74 p. Master thesis deals with the issue of risk mapping, i.e. the display of risks in maps using geographic information systems. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the terminology and characteristics of the risk management system. It is followed by a research of approaches to risk mapping abroad and in the Czech Republic and a detailed description of the risk mapping method according to a uniform methodology. The practical part of the work is focused on the application of the mentioned methodology to a selected part of the Olomouc region. The basic principles are illustrated by performing a risk analysis of a selected part of the territory. Finally, the possibilities of using the results in the safety-planning documentation are outlined.
