Abstract
Thesis is focused on operation of local distribution power networks under conditions of czech power system. Theoretical part consists of description of local distribution power networks and concerning legislation, creation of said networks and possible types of off grid systems. In addition, theoretical part also contains description of renewable energy sources and their usage in Czech Republic as a viable source for energizing local distribution power networks. Pros and cons of each type of renewable source used as an auxiliary or main power source for the local distribution network in case of disruption of power supply from primary supplier are also analysed.
Experiential part of thesis contains description and analysis of practical problems, which Right Power, a.s. company has to solve when running their local distribution power systems in Czech Republic. Experiential part also explains the principal behind income generation through running local distribution power systems, which is basically explained by billing information. Furthermore, thesis analyses possible optimization of proposed annual and monthly reserve capacities of two separate industrial areas of local distribution power networks. Thesis is concluded with summarization of reserve capacity optimization, realized with motor-generator setup.
