dc.description.abstractIn the following pages, you will find a detailed comparison between the mining industry of Dominican Republic and Czech Republic. The comparison is based on the following issues: type of mining activity, portfolio of minerals extracted, amount extracted in 2014, labor force in 2014, mining hazards and especially about safety regulations. In the last part of the diploma work some recommendations are given to Dominican Republic Government in order them to improve their mining safety regulations, taking in account the gotten experience of Czech Republic.en
