Hodnocení zapalitelnosti dřeva se zuhelnatělým povrchem

Abstract

This thesis deals with the problem of the ignitability of charred wood. In the theoretical part, the main focus is categorization of the types of wood and its most important properties. Summarizing the basic information, the thesis discusses the protection of wood against thermal action and deals with the charred surface. The practical part of this thesis presents the results of experimental work in the laboratory, where the rate of heat release was investigated, comparing the features of untreated and charred wood samples. In conclusion, all the results obtained are thouroughly evaluated. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the effect of the charred layer on the surface of the wood on the ignitability and flame propagation on the surface of the wood and thus contribute to a greater awareness of this specific material treatment.
