Abstract
Thesis themed „Digitizing Process in the Czech Television“ is focused on the Czech Television financial management in association with entering of television broadcast digitalization. The goal of the thesis is to do analysis of financial management within years 2004 and 2008 and evaluate influence of digitizing on the Czech Television financial management. Theoretical part is dealing with mass media as a part of culture, national policy and media legislation. In practical part there was made an analysis of financial management of Czech Television within the year 2004 and 2008 and evaluation of digitization influence on financial management of the Television. It was discovered by costs analysis that total costs of the Czech Television grows in the tracking period. Part of the costs of the Czech Television are as well costs connected with switch-over on the earth digital television broadcast which are refunded by purpose resources from advertising broadcast. There raise necessity to finance simultaneously analog and also digital broadcast for securing of signal receiving for the transient time which increases costs for signal spreading. The Czech Television increased broadcast time and program production in the tracking period but the costs per hour of broadcast and the costs per hour of producing have grown only slightly which means that the Czech Television manage their resources effectively.
