Vybrané průmyslové podniky Ostravy, jejich vliv na životní prostředí a význam pro turismus

Abstract

In this thesis, I concentrate on two of the largest industrial companies in Ostrava. These companies have a big impact on the environment in Ostrava. Currently, the largest polluter is ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s., which I’m concentrating on in chaptech environment. In the first part of my thesis I describe the physical -geographical conditions of Ostrava, where especially the climate is most affected by discharges of dust particles into the air. Then I’m continuing by the history itself of the town and related to historical milestones with. The most important chapter in my thesis is environment of Ostrava. In the end of my thesis I describe my own idea of tourism potential, associated with the description of technical monuments, which are in my opinion essential for Ostrava.
