Abstract
This thesis deals with the preparation of nanostructured coating on the surface of the alloy Ti6Al4V and its corrosive properties. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying of biocompatibility and properties of titanium and alloy Ti6Al4V. Electrochemical corrosion, types of corrosion attack and the factors that affect corrosion are described. The corrosion properties of the alloy Ti6Al4V in different environments are also mentioned. The last part is focused on describing the anodization mechanisms, the formation and growth of Ti02 nanotubes and factors affecting them. The practical part describes the experimental conditions for the preparation of nanotubes on the Ti6Al4V alloy surface using anodization process and the properties of prepared protective film. Based on measured results the change of corrosion rate on naked or coated surface was evaluated.
