Různorodost Evropy z pohledu lidského rozvoje

Abstract

The goal of this Bachelor thesis is to compare the members of the Visegrad Group (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic) in terms of human development in 2010. Furthermore I will outline the reasons for the differences between the Eastern and Western part of Europe in terms of human development. I will also present factors that have influenced the fractional HDI indicators. I will look into modifications of the Human Development Index well and how those changes affected its value in Europe. For comparison I use indices published in the Human Development Reports – Human Development Index, Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index, Gender Inequality Index and Multidimensional Poverty Index.
