Návrh metodiky pro posuzování kvality příjmu GSM, UMTS a LTE signálu u mobilních telefonů

Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose a methodology for assessing the quality of the signal received by mobile phones in GSM, UMTS and LTE radio systems. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the issue of radio signal reception and the effects acting on radio waves before reaching the mobile phone receiver. It also describes the most common types of antennas used and their location in mobile devices. The output of the practical part is the proposed methodology for assessing the quality of signal reception and impact of received signal on voice calls and data transmissions. The main elements for testing are the base station in the radio network laboratory, the Raspberry Pi 3 model B, USB modem and the Linux server.
