Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the organizational role of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic (FRS CR) in the municipality in dealing with emergencies. Fire and Rescue Service is one of the components of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). The IRS is established to coordinate the rescue and emergency work throughout the republic. In the first part of the thesis a description of all components of the IRS, their structure, authority and mission are presented. Also the security plans of municipalities and ways of ensuring are described. The second part analyses activities of the FRS CR for selected types of potential emergencies. The third part presents the case study of a specific incident - the bus crash with a larger number of injured people. Bachelor thesis describes the cooperation of all components of the IRS with the municipality in dealing with emergencies, including the FRS CR.
