Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of Software for an optical product inspection used in the demonstration task of an optical tester. It uses the technology of an electronically tunable lens. The software application is developed in the graphical programming environment LabVIEW, which detects and evaluates defective pieces based on the designed algorithms. The control part of the application, implemented on the myRIO-1900 platform, is used to move the products on the rotary carousel via a stepper motor. On a PC an application is created to control the change of optical power of the electronically tunable lens and the core of the software application based in the evaluation of the captured images. Followed by, testing the functionality of the developed application and measuring the processing time. The result of the diploma thesis is a functional demonstration application presenting the applicability of optical inspection on products.
