Dům v Bělé

Abstract

In this work, an atypically-formed luxury house is presented. The building is situated in the south-western slope of a hill on the outskirts of traditional Slovak village. It is vertically divided into several altitude levels interconnected solely by ramps. The layout is based on a proper orientation of individual rooms. The whole matter complies to the terrain in one place, while elsewhere it complements the natural curves of the terrain, giving the building its architectural expression. As an atypical structure, albeit designed within the requirements of the investor, it also makes use of designer's knowledge of aesthetics in a great extent.
