Abstract

The aim of this master's thesis is to create a laboratory task in the laboratory EB015 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Compute Science VŠB - TU Ostrava using the transformer protection RET630 from the company ABB. The theoretical part describes the division of MV and HV electrical protections, then describes the typical failures of transformer terminals and how they are commonly solved. This work also contains a description of RET630 protection and its functional blocks. The practical part of the diploma thesis focuses on the creation of a measuring task of differential protection of transformer on a model of a high voltage substation. The next section contains a description of the protection configuration and instructions for creating a sample protocol of the measurement task.
