Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the system of motivation and remuneration of members of a sports club. The primary goal of the bachelor's thesis is to find out and carry out a subsequent analysis of the system of motivation and remuneration of employees in a selected sports club. The motivation and reward system is key to the productivity of a sports club. Another goal is to find out how satisfied the employees are with the offered system tools.
The first part of the bachelor's thesis discusses the theoretical basis of motivation and reward. First, the definitions of the individual terms, which are motivation, evaluation and reward, are described. Subsequently, these three components are described in detail. In this section, the types of motivation, the process of motivation and the factors that directly influence motivation are written. Evaluation methods and remuneration models are also described. The last chapter of this section discusses the interaction between motivation, evaluation and remuneration.
The second part deals with the current state of the sports club's motivation and reward system. The basic characteristics of the sports club and its organizational structure are described here. Furthermore, the motivation and reward system that currently operates in the sports club is clarified. Part of this part is a questionnaire survey. It is a qualitative research in which all employees of the selected sports club participated.
The last part of the bachelor's thesis mainly deals with the evaluation of the results of the questionnaire survey. The responses from the questionnaire survey are recorded in graphs and are analyzed with a brief description. Based on the analysis of the motivation and reward system, options and recommendations on how to improve this system are proposed at the end of the chapter. Suggestions and recommendations can lead to improvements in the existing system.
The results of the questionnaire survey show that the employees are satisfied in the sports club, they would not change many things. In terms of the remuneration system, the sports club works very well. The motivation system is not that good. The employees lack more frequent feedback from the employer and they miss some of the benefits that are mentioned in the suggestions for improvement.
Overall, it can be concluded that an effective motivation and reward system is the key to the success of a sports club and strengthening its competitiveness. Thorough consideration and implementation of new motivational measures can lead to improved performance, satisfaction and long-term success of club members.
