Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the influence of ionic liquids containing imidazolium cation and bromide, chloride and hydrogen sulphate anion on the corrosion rate of aluminum, copper, mild steels and stainless steels in acidic, neutral and alkaline environments. Electrochemical methods of linear voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and mass loss method were used to determine the corrosion rate. The ionic liquids used are mixed type inhibitors with predominant anodic inhibition for steel and iron and cathodic inhibition for aluminum and copper. Ionic liquids were prepared by microwave synthesis.
