Abstract
This thesis deals with numerical simulations of the process of rolling tubes on plug mill. The study part of the thesis describes the technology of seamless tubes production, the theory of elongation rolling in round grooves and principles of FEM software. In the practical part, numerical simulations illustrating the behavior of the formed material under various technology and process parameters are performed. Parameters that are modified are coeffi-cients of friction on the rolls and the plug and plug position relative to the axis of the rolls is also changed. Optimal variant coinciding with real rolling process is chosen by comparing the shape of the front-end of an actually rolled tube and a simulated tube.
