Vývojový modul MCXArduino

Abstract

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of the MCXArduino development board, which is hardware and software compatible with the Arduino UNO R4. The board is built around the NXP MCXA154 microcontroller with an ARM Cortex-M33 core, which offers double the clock frequency, double the SRAM capacity, and a more accurate 16-bit ADC compared to the reference Renesas RA4M1. As part of the work, a circuit schematic was designed and a two-layer printed circuit board was assembled, preserving the dimensions and pin layout of the original module. To integrate the board into the Arduino IDE, a custom Board Package was created, containing an implementation of the Arduino Core, a tool for automatic device detection, and a script for uploading firmware via the internal bootloader. The functionality of the board was verified through a series of tests using expansion shields and available peripheral modules, and compared with the reference Arduino UNO R4.
