Příprava a organizace basketbalového turnaje

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the preparation and organization of the Generations Basketball Tournament – Jiří Pavlík Memorial, which is held annually in Český Těšín and brings together players of various age groups as well as the broader community. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the preparation and organization of this tournament, evaluate its course, and propose recommendations that could contribute to improvements in future editions. The methods used include network analysis of key organizational activities, a SWOT analysis, and a participant survey. The results show that the tournament benefits from a strong community base, tradition, and an experienced organizing team. Participants rated the organization and atmosphere of the event positively, with the most frequently mentioned suggestions for improvement being the expansion of the accompanying program, enhancement of the food and beverage offerings, and more intensive promotion. The thesis recommends innovating the game system, strengthening marketing—especially on social media—and increasing audience engagement, which could contribute to the further development and sustainability of the tournament.
