Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the foundation of an apartment building in Brno. The first part deals with technologies and procedures of construction retaining walls and their stability solutions, from which later selected technologies are used for construction of Krona Palace. These technologies are discussed in detail, along with workflow and photo documentation. Particular emphasis is placed on the technology of sealing the foundation due to the occurrence of groundwater. The second part of the thesis is devoted to making a model of building foundation in Midas GTS NX.
