Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of virtualization platforms, container technologies and cloud services for the operation of large-scale information systems. The aim of this thesis is to bring sample information system into the Docker container environment. The theoretical part describes problems related to development of large-scale information systems and compares virtualization platforms from companies VMware, Citrix, Red Hat and Microsoft and also includes comparision of cloud services from providers Amazon, Microsoft and Google. Further, it informs readers about container technologies focusing on the Docker platform. Next part of thesis contains a large number of practical examples describing the creation and launching of containers. The practical part includes design of division a project into containers, Dockerfiles creation, preparation of an environment for deployment and deployment of containers.
