Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with water sources for the need of population protection. In the introductory part, the interrelation between water resources and population protection is characterized and the subsequent connection with the water supply system is described. This is followed by a description of fire water sources, including the legislative requirements for them. The next part of the thesis focuses on the current state of water supply in the municipality of Skuteč and its local districts. This includes mainly an introduction of the municipality and a description of the functioning of the water supply system. The final part focuses on the sources of fire water in the area of interest. In particular, an analysis and evaluation of the current situation in terms of territorial coverage, availability and operability. In this part, measurements of hydrant yield and pressure values were also carried out. According to the findings, modifications to the existing system are proposed.
