Aplikace "turistická navigace" pro platformu Android

Abstract

The bachelor thesis's goal was the development of map application for hikers for the Android platform. An existing Google maps component present on most Android devices has been used for map display. Thanks to the co-operation with Turistika.cz server, users are able to actively search and display the hiking trails, biking tracks and relevant points of interest (POIs). Further, thanks to the cooperation with Turistika.cz, users can share the photos for selected POIs captured in the application and extend the POI database from the application. The application has been tested both in the emulator and on several devices. Unfortunately, as the number of devices with Google Android grows, the device fragmentation starts to appear, causing some issues with peripheral devices, especially with camera drivers.
