Abstract
Dissertation dealt with construction of timber footbridge for pedestrian and cyclists. At first the research of historical and present structural systems was compiled. Based on this information 3 possible structural systems of timber footbridge were designed. The footbridge is vaulting over the watercourse of 30 m range. For every 3 variants there were preliminary design and review for main supporting elements of the ultimate and serviceability limit state processed. Thanks to comparison of material consumption and toughness of construction the optimum variant was choosen, the arc construction. For this option there were the design and review of all the elements, bracing and joints of the ultimate and serviceability limit state made. Frequency of vibration was also checked. Then there was the way of montage mentioned. Drawings were also part of the thesis. The review was executed according to current applicable standards ČSN EN.
