Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the valuation of the selected company from food industry using economic value added method. The valuation is carried out as at 1 January 2018 using a two-phase method. The first part of thesis describes the theoretical bases related to valuation issues. These theoretical findings are applied in the practical part. This includes business characteristics including financial analysis, and strategic analysis. As next the cost of capital and the economic value added of the company is defined. In the next part of the thesis a forecast of items important for determining economic added value for the anticipated, pessimistic and optimistic scenario is created. After determining the cost of capital, the company is valued and at the end of the work a sensitivity analysis of the value of the company on selected factors is performed.
