Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with analysis, optimization and management of material inventory in a manufacturing company. Its aim is to identify material stocks in the company Orrero according to their significance and optimize safety stock at the most significant stocks and design an appropriate system for their replenishment. The bachelor thesis consists of 4 parts. The first part is devoted to the theoretical aspects, which stem from studying of literature. There is a short introduction of company Orrero in the second part. The characteristics of the company is followed by the analysis of the current situation. In this part was used ABC analysis to clasify the material items into 3 categories. The quantity of safety stock was verified at the most significant items and after the choice of a new level of supportability supply, the new safety stock was calculated. At the end of this part an ordering system (B0, Q) for the most significant items was designed. The last part includes the suggestions and recommendations for improving the current situation in Orrero.
