Biomonitoring kvality ovzduší pomocí mechů

Abstract

Protecting air from pollution is one of the most important and up-to-date problems. The inhaled air and everything that it contains gets inside the human body and directly affects human health. The main sources of pollution are not only industrial emissions, but also combustion processes in domestic boilers and transport. This thesis is devoted to biomonitoring of air quality with the help of mosses. The main objective of the thesis is to compare the results of neutron activation analysis at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna with other analytical methods aimed at determining the concentration of some elements associated with air pollution in mosses.
