Abstract

Bachelor thesis describes some of the processes that led to change of Ostravsko landscape. Coal mining and its processing caused negative consequences, among others formation of mining waste storages. The research part of work describes geological and geomorphological characteristics of the region. The practical part describes sampling in specific locations – thermally active dumps, elaboration of the samples followed by evaluation in the means of petrographic composition and study of thermal processes ongoing in the dumps. The thesis also includes thermal maps, actual state analysis and determination of future prognosis
