Abstract

Glass reinforced polymer bolts, commonly known as Fibre Glass rods are increasingly applied in underground building and mining for temporary or permanent use. The most common bars are fully threaded type. This diploma thesis focuses on investigation shear resistance of fibreglass bolt rods. A series of tests undertaken on anchorage rods can help to analyse a various ways of failure, which is created near the rock bolt. The theoretical part includes short in formations about composite materials and about fibreglass bolt rods. It contains spectrum of manufactured rock bolts and their function in rock massive. Practical part contains design and realisation of tests. In conclusion, analyse of shear function of rock bolt and load deformation characteristics of fibreglass bolt rod.
