Abstract

Thesis "Multi-storey dwelling house of post-beam structure in low-energy concept," deals in the first part with the history of wooden frame, followed by analysis of the current versions of heavy wooden frame and requirements imposed upon them. The second part focuses on the layout of the apartment building. The third part is designed and assessed the structure and its individual structural elements and connections between them. Emphasis is also placed on the spatial rigidity and fire resistance of the structure.
