Turistické trasy Krivánské Fatry

Abstract

The graduation paper provides the reader with a tourist information about Krivanska Fatra, a region in the Slovakian mountains. The first section describes the geology, geoformology, fauna, flora, hydrology and the climate of the region. The second section gives references to information sources about Krivanska Fatra’s natural wonders and cultural peculiarities. The paper concludes by listing 4 mountain tours designed for an average hiker. The first hike trail is directed at hikers who want to become familiar with two fortresses, the Strecno and the Stary hrad. The remaining three trails cross the mountaneous terrain of the Mala Fatra region. Information about the laws governing visitors‘ stay in the mountains has been provided as a supplement to the paper.
