Abstract

This Doctoral Thesis focuses on creating a real design concept of fire appliance into the urban built-up areas, which at the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic at selected locations are largely absent. Based on the research and analysis with regard to today's fire brigade trucks in the demographically significant urban areas there are two models of fire appliance with optimized technical and tactical parameters of the chassis and body. Whilst the chassis necessary parameters will be defined in terms of providing higher rates of vehicle dynamics and improved truck dimensions for better accessibility to objects at urban built-up areas, the body parameters will be streamlined through the design of an optimally sized water tank to extinguish fire (different for both models) and fire accessories determining the predestination of the models of the fire truck. Experience with the operation of these types of vehicles from abroad will be used as well as. In the thesis measurements of dynamic properties of conventional (fire engines = CAS) predestination for transport and interventions in urban agglomerations will be carried out. The driving manoeuvres will be verified by some requirements on the parameters of fire truck models defined in earlier parts of the thesis. Also there will be an assessment of those fire engines in terms of suitability for transport in urban areas. The last part of the thesis focuses on the connection of real studies of the fire appliances with idealized models of fire trucks of which the parameters have been optimized both theoretically and practically in realized experimental measurements. For an objective determination of the best real fire appliance options, which will be closest to the criteria values, a particular, ideal model will be used by software applications in a multicriterion analysis. Setting benchmarks, and especially their estimated scales (preferences), will be implemented by a group of experts, whose differing subjective opinions will be statistically processed into a single vector scales of the criteria. This vector determining the importance of the evaluation criteria (parameters and indicators) will be the input into the decision matrix that will be constructed for the set methods of multicriteria evaluation of alternatives determining the final solution of the decision-making tasks. At the end options for further dealing with the measurement of vehicle dynamics in relation to identifying the parameters of fire engines, which can be useful for determining the influence of the special structure of the body on the stability of the vehicle are outlined. Likewise, foundations for an effective use of multicriterion analysis of fire engines for any kind of their use will be laid.
