Podmínky a podpora sportovního vyžití v obcích regiónu Hlučínsko

Abstract

This master's thesis focuses on capturing the conditions for sports activities in municipalities in the Hlučín region and evaluating the support for sports through financing from municipal budgets. The analysis was conducted through statistical evaluation of the relationships between demographic trends in municipalities and the availability of sports facilities, as well as between sports expenditures in municipal budgets. The research hypotheses formulated in Chapter 4 were statistically verified using the Kendall correlation test. Confirmation of relationships between population size and the number and type of sports facilities underscores the importance of demographic factors in sports infrastructure planning. The strongest correlation was found between demographic trends and sports facility capacity, suggesting that larger municipalities tend to have more sports facilities. Regarding sports financing from municipal budgets, the analysis showed that the largest number of expenditures was reported in the subcategory "Non-investment transfers to associations." Stable expenditures on maintenance and repairs indicate continuous care for existing sports infrastructure. The highest expenditures on construction were associated with investments in new infrastructure, which may indicate municipalities' efforts to develop sports opportunities.
