Studie využití území v dolní části Hlavní třídy v Ostravě - Porubě

Abstract

The theme oft his thesis is study land use in the lower area of the Main Street in the city of Ostrava – Poruba. Based on the analysis of the current state of the location, a new concept has been dasigned including spatial solution of services, static transportion, utilities, street furniture and greenery. Due to the placement and the nature of the area, several variants of the concept has been provided. Moreover, solutions have been designed in order to meet specific needs of the Ostrava city land use plan for the year 1994. Basically, there was only one limition factor which has been taken into account during the design: existing infrastructure, mainly water supply grid and fiber optics communication cabel that are trailed in the middle of the Main Street. Other infrastructure installments are located on the boundary of the area and provide no obstracles for the concept. The main factor, I have followed in this koncept is the uniqe urbanistic value of the area. First, it is a relativem large undeveloped area located in the center of the Poruba district and second, the intersection of the transportation axis and the view axis makes the area urbanistically important. Finally, I would like to highlight the fact that individual variants follow principles of urbanism and are harmoniously complemented by a dominant element in the view window.
