Abstract

GOCH, T. The safety features of road transport and technical equipment of personal vehicles with regard to a lower akccident rate. Dissertation thesis. 2015, 78 pages. VŠB Technical University of Ostrava. Faculty of safety engineering. This dissertation provides a closer look and a thorough description of safety features of personal vehicles that lead to a decrease of transport accident rate. The introduction states the legislation regarding the issue and also includes statistical data of the Czech Republic concerning the number of traffic accidents, injuries, and parties at fault. The issue of safe traffic is analyzed using the Ishikaw’s diagram, analysis of means and consequences of malfunctions and it is verified using analysis of correlation. With regard to the results of the analyses, the thesis states two suggestions for decreasing the accident rate of vehicles. The dissertation also includes a simulation of collision of a car and a pedestrian and its evaluation.
