Abstract

The topic of this bachelor thesis concerns the sheeting construction, specifically the construction of braced sheeting. This type of sheeting consist of the steel brace and timber lagging wall, often in addition with struts or anchors. Its application depends on the depth of the construction pit and on the parameters of the soil environment. Technologies of realization related to placing brace into soil. Braces are either placed into the ground by using drilling borehole, or by pile driving, or vibrating. Timber lagging is placed between braces. They form a continuous wall sheeting together. In the practical part there is a calculation of my designed construction of braced sheeting. There is a calculation of the beam model with full load earth pressure and a calculation by using software GEO5. All is in accordance with EN 1997-1. The result of the calculation showing that the designed construction is satisfactory.
