Abstract
This bachelor's thesis focuses on Meshtastic as an open solution for low-power long-range wireless
communication. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of the Meshtastic system and
its mesh network architecture based on LoRa technology. It also addresses message transmission
and basic security mechanisms, including data encryption and key management.
The practical part focuses on the design and implementation of a custom test network consisting of
three nodes based on Raspberry Pi Pico and the SX1262 radio module. The network was tested in
different environments, including urban areas, open terrain, and indoor spaces. The measurements
focused on communication range, signal quality, and transmission success rate.
The results show a significant impact of the environment and obstacles on signal propagation. In
the final part of the thesis, these results are summarized and evaluated from a practical perspective
