Abstract

This bachelor thesis is engaged on the influence of the cyclic phase transformation on the low-carbon steel microstructure. Chosen ways that are led to the grain refinement are described in the theoretical part. Further, individual phase transformations in steel and the time-temperature and continuous cooling transformation diagrams are termed. The experimental part is aimed on the description of the plastometer Gleeble 3800 and the experiment itself. The courses of the heating and cooling of the individual samples were simulated through the plastometer Gleeble 3800. Individual samples were being heated and cooled by the different rates. There are listed in the conclusion the influences of the individual cycles and the rates of the heating and cooling on the structure and the grain size of the steel S355J2, respectively.
