Abstract
The object of the thesis concerns with a design and examination of a supporting structure of a climbing wall. The design is considered from a static perspective with respect to the user's requirements, both based on relevant building and safety regulations and on personal experience of the thesis author. The structure is designed as an indoors structure and, specifically, as an extension to an existing climbing wall in a gym. The structure shall combine steel grade S355, and timber grade C24. The internal forces in the frame have been calculated using the Scia Engineer software, whilst the following evaluations of the structure have been performed using Microsoft Excel. The drawings were drawn in AutoCAD software.
