Abstract

Every kind of drinking water must fulfill the requirements for the quality of drinking water set by decree before it leaves the plant. During the distribution, however, quality parameters of these waters can be changed, which can result into an aggressive behavior of drinking water to the water pipes. This thesis is focused on the monitoring of selected indicators of drinking water quality in three samples taken from final customers. From laboratory-measured values there were calculated saturation indexes according to which it was defined whether a given sample of drinking water was in equilibrium, or had an aggressive effect on the water fittings. Heyer test was made as a controlling verification. By comparing the saturation pH values set by Heyer test and calculated from Langelier saturation index it was defined whether the aggressiveness of drinking water can be determined only by using calculation method.
