Vlastnosti, zpracování a využití styren butadienového kaučukového odpadu

Abstract

Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) is the most important synthetic rubber type. Its production amount is about 40 % worldwide and it is mostly used for the tire tread application. It means production of a huge waste amount, from a process of rubber production to end-of-life products, especially millions of tonnes voluminous waste in the form of end-of-life tires. This diploma thesis describes the styrene butadiene rubber waste processing technologies and summarize the possibilities and current trends in recycling of this waste. My own laboratory experiments verified selected physical and chemical properties of selected samples of styrene butadiene rubber and compounds, which are playing a key role in the processing and using.
